Elderberry Magpie Inlay Feather Flute
This flute is made from the elderberry bush. The mouth piece is made from poplar. I have limited quantities of this incredible wood. The magpie feather is also made from poplar and I have inlayed turquoise within the crevices. The turquoise was mined from Arizona and I crushed it into small chips before embedding it into the feather. My wife has painted this feather black and then enhanced it with the shimmer of metallic blue sapphire paint. If you would like a flute like this one the price starts at $190.00. Please email me with any questions you may have.
The magpie is a member of the crow family. They will eat almost anything. They do not like to feed under trees, but will swoop down and eat any food left on your lawn. It has been said that when Lewis and Clark saw these birds they would steal their food right off their plates. Now, this bird is very wary around people.
